Mervin Yoder, Minister to Youth
Mervin loves working with the teens and stays busy doing it. He has worked with our teens since 2004 and in 2008 he joined the church staff as our youth minister. He teaches Sunday School, leads the teens in Wednesday evening services, and coordinates the many, many teen events throughout the year. In order to organize these many events, Mervin is heavily dependent on the multitasking abilities of his wife and best friend, Emily.
In addition to ministering to our teens, Mervin also teaches geography in the Francis Howell School District. The clock hours Mervin spends with teenagers each week surely exceeds any psychiatrist’s recommendation. To unwind from these high doses of adolescence, Mervin and Emily love taking road trips around Missouri, getting outdoors, eating ice cream and cheese (not in combination), reading books, and catching the latest Pixar movie.
