Thinking about visiting? Here's what to expect:

Service Times

  • Sunday School @ 9:30
  • Sunday Morning Worship @ 10:30
  • Sunday Evening Bible Study @ 6:00 (on hold)
  • Wednesday Activities in the neighborhoods (6:00 - 7:00 pm)

When you arrive . . .

  • Where do I go? When you pull in, you will see two buildings. The largest brick building is the church, which has the sanctuary, adult Sunday School classrooms, and the nurseries. The brick house serves as our office and also teen and children classrooms. When you arrive, park in the back parking area and walk in through the double glass doors of the church. The greeters will be happy to show you to your destination.

  • Where do I sit in the sanctuary? You may sit wherever you feel comfortable! Many times visitors enter the sanctuary and sit in the pews on the right (Yes, our pews are padded). If you have a baby or toddler, feel free to take them to one of our nurseries. We have both an infant nursery and a toddler nursery.

  • Welcoming - A member of the church will open the service with a welcoming and review upcoming events in the bulletin. Then will open the service in prayer.
  • Music - We then typically sing two songs. Our music is a blend of traditional hymns and contemporary choruses and is accompanied by a piano, keyboard, and orchestra, which may include an acoustic guitar, bass guitar, saxophone, trumpets, baritone, and flute.
  • Greeting - After two songs, the congregation takes several minutes to walk around and greet one another. If you don't feel comfortable moving around, we will come to you and introduce ourselves.
  • Testimonies - Steve Jefferson leads the congregation in a time of testimony. This is not a structured time; anyone with a praise or prayer request may stand up and share with the congregation.
  • Music - We typically sing three songs during this time.
  • Children's Blessing - Pastor Joe calls the children up front for a special prayer of blessing before dismissing them to children's church.
  • Offering - We believe that tithe is one of many forms of worship; we return a portion of our blessing back to God for the purposes of His Kingdom. Ushers will pass offering plates down each pew.
  • Sermon - Pastor Joe preaches most Sundays, but you may also find Pastor Kim preaching on the day of your visit. Pastor Joe appreciates a few "Amens" during the service so he knows we are awake!
  • Prayer - Pastor Joe or Pastor Kim will lead us in closing prayer. This is also an opportunity for people to approach the altar in the front of the sanctuary and pray there.

  • Special Sundays - We typically serve communion on the first Sunday of each month. In our church, you may participate in communion as long a you believe Jesus to be your personal Savior; you do not have to be a member of our church.
